  1. Would you believe me if I told you I literally went to this issue of my own accord and ended up seeing it was an updated version before it appeared on the front page? What wonderful serendipity.
  2. It didn't, but now it does. Prior it was just the blue bar up top, but now the white retromags banner is visible.
  3. I can't seem to find anything? I don't have access to any of the data bases or the forums or at least I can't find them.
  4. If I download this, is it just going to be a giant GIF that says April Fool's?
  5. This is the first OPM I ever bought. I still have this Demo Disc.
  6. Oh my God. What if I told you I think I still own all of this guys books.
  7. The overwhelming message of the Sonic 3 review is "Wow, There's no way Sega could ever top this" Heheheh, yeah...hehehe...AAAAHHHHH *cries*
  8. AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Ed couldn't be fucked this month with the game boy games.
  9. Ed...you gave a 10 to...you know what never mind. Like, isn't this your like...job? Shouldn't you have a memory of which games got which scores? Did Steve Harris get you drunk at some CES parties and you lost some short term memory?
  10. Lo and behold, I believe I've found the first 10 in EGM history. And it's probably not the game you'd expect.
  11. So here is what at the very least this project would be. A Google spreadsheet with the full review scores of every game reviewed in EGM from EGM #2 which was the debut of the 10 point scoring system and going on until Question marks. Doc would have game name, developer names, individual scores, the average score and if it was Silver, Gold or Platnium (for simplicities sake I'm using the system they used from like...97 on? Where Silver, Gold and Platnium were averages of 8, 9, 10 respectively) and finally what issue it was reviewed in. Okay. So now that we've got that out of the way, here's where an interest check comes in. I'm thinking of taking pictures of every review and putting them in a giant folder in chronological order. That was when reading the doc you could see a game name and the issue it was reviewed in and if interested you could go read the review. Im asking if anyone would be interested in this because let's face it, it's a lot of work and I'm not sure I want to take the time on the photos if no one is interested. But I think there's a benefit in that people wouldn't have to constantly download issues putting a strain on the server just to read one issue for one review. At the very least I'm doing the Google doc as a reference. I just am wondering how deep down the rabbit hole I should go with this project. Just to show how serious I am, here is my all time favorite EGM review. It's the one in the middle.
  12. Myself and someone are contemplating a podcast where we read through the interesting parts of gaming magazines from the current month X years ago. For example an episode now would focus on issues released in the month of April from a certain year. The problem lies in that if I remember correctly certain magazines cover dates would be different from an actual on sale date. For example a magazine dated April 1993 may actually have been released the previous month or even released in January or Febuary. Therefore I'm wondering if anyone has the on sale dates for various magazines so that way I can gather multiple magazines released in the same month. Or if there's some sort indication in the major mags (EGM, GamePro etc.) when the on sale dates were.
