There is a supplement in the EGM supplement section for Neo Geo that says it came with EGM 32. I didnt attach it to the download as I have no clue whether it came with the issue. And it is not a very good scan. If another admin wants to clean it up and edit it and attach it to the scan I wouldnt mind. Since supplements have their own section now Im not gonna sweat it not being in the magazine scan because its so low quality and I don't have good source for it being in this issue.

@  Sean697 : (30 August 2016 - 02:22 AM)

EGM 32 is up.

@  kitsunebi77 : (29 August 2016 - 09:52 PM)

It was a member album since I created it back before I had the ability to put it anywhere else. I moved it into the Japan folder just now.

@  kitsunebi77 : (29 August 2016 - 09:46 PM)

OK, I can see them now.

@  Phillyman : (29 August 2016 - 09:36 PM)

nope, but the permissions were weird on them. They were in the members album section, can you see them? https://community.re...n/#.V8TwxDUUOwE

@  kitsunebi77 : (29 August 2016 - 09:23 PM)

Uhh...Philly...when you rearranged the international cover gallery...did you delete my Dengeki Playstation folder? I don't see it, and now the database looks like this: https://s17.postimg....nj/Picture1.png

@  Sean697 : (29 August 2016 - 12:55 AM)

I suppose since I'm going to finish the EGM I'm working on tonight or tomorrow, and we got some Game Players scanning, I can make my next issue to work on one of the Game Buyers, the successor to Ultimate game Players, the successor to Game Players. Can start working back.

@  kitsunebi77 : (28 August 2016 - 11:59 PM)

Yeah it went:
Game Player's MS-DOS Strategy Guide
Game Player's PC Strategy Guide
Game Player's PC Entertainment
PC Gamer

@  RetroDefense : (28 August 2016 - 11:41 PM)

We need a category. I've been trying to firm up the issue list first but Game Players had a complete disregard for consistent titling. Not to mention standard periodical sequencing, the Gregorian calendar, spacetime itself...

@  KiwiArcader : (28 August 2016 - 11:31 PM)

What category are Game Players PC Strategy Guides hosted under? Or do you need to create a new category?

@  Areala : (28 August 2016 - 05:51 PM)

AWNBS. ;)

@  ♦Jake♦ : (28 August 2016 - 05:46 PM)

:o

@  Areala : (28 August 2016 - 05:11 PM)

It's Sunday, I was bored. Don't judge me. :)

@  RetroDefense : (28 August 2016 - 05:08 PM)

@  Areala : (28 August 2016 - 04:55 PM)

Either that or I just blew out another vibrator. ;)

@  ♦Jake♦ : (28 August 2016 - 04:46 PM)

Do you mean you got an upgrade?

@  Areala : (28 August 2016 - 04:41 PM)

Who has two thumbs and just maxed out the RAM on her motherboard? THIS GAL!! :)

@  RetroDefense : (28 August 2016 - 04:06 PM)

You should do the same for Electronic Game Player issues 2 and 3. ;)

@  RetroDefense : (28 August 2016 - 04:05 PM)

I really like that idea. I'll update the descriptions of the missing issues to note the promotion. :)

@  Phillyman : (28 August 2016 - 03:36 PM)

Also anyone who donated just 1 of the missing 4 issues of Game Players, will become a Lifetime Patron. So if you have issues 48, 49, 50 or 52...let me know :)

@  Phillyman : (28 August 2016 - 03:35 PM)

For those wondering, I am taking over the 1990's GamePlayers section. With that recent donation of magazines, I have all but 4 of the missing magazines. I will update my WIP shortly :)

@  marktrade : (28 August 2016 - 12:34 AM)

@  Phillyman : (27 August 2016 - 09:31 PM)

Game Players....Lets GO!

@  delta7890 : (27 August 2016 - 08:54 AM)

Indeed :D

@  kitsunebi77 : (27 August 2016 - 08:52 AM)

No worries. It's good that it's out there in a readable format at any rate. I'm sure eventually we'll have someone do a higher quality scan of it that we can host here as well.

@  delta7890 : (27 August 2016 - 08:49 AM)

Ah, it is not my own scan I'm afraid. :(

@  kitsunebi77 : (27 August 2016 - 08:42 AM)

Hi delta7890. Is the copy of Nintendo Power 145 something you scanned yourself? That issue is currently available elsewhere on the net, but we can only host files here that our members have scanned themselves.

@  delta7890 : (27 August 2016 - 06:43 AM)

Hello there. I'm a newly registered member and have a copy of Nintendo Power Issue 145, which is missing from the database. How should I go about uploading it so others can enjoy it as well? :D

@  kitsunebi77 : (27 August 2016 - 01:09 AM)

Philly, I like the drop down menus at your Gamingmagz site. Probably wouldn't work for a category with lots of entries, but it seemed quite convenient for the advertisements section on that site.

@  Sean697 : (27 August 2016 - 12:37 AM)

Making good progress in the forever in Editing EGM I've been working on. Only 30 something pages to go! (Out of like 178)

@  RetroDefense : (26 August 2016 - 01:13 PM)

SEO is crazy frustrating sometimes - you don't really have any control over the bot so it's largely guesswork. Google's Webmaster Tools is pretty handy though. I'd look for any forgotten redirects, wayward robots.txt files, and consider putting together a good sitemap.

@  Phillyman : (26 August 2016 - 11:14 AM)

Run this search, and GamingMagz which was another site I was working on years ago....and havent touched in years....ranks higher in Google than Retromags - https://www.google.c... Power Issue 79

@  Phillyman : (26 August 2016 - 11:12 AM)

I have often wondered if when I split them a few years back, if I killed our SEO, because we get jack shit from Google any longer

@  Phillyman : (26 August 2016 - 11:12 AM)

I wish, the software just doesn't seem to support this functionality any longer. So everything will fall under www.retromags.com, which doesn't change the home page or databases, or help pages.....but the gallery, downloads and blogs will need redirects to send them to the correct place

@  RetroDefense : (26 August 2016 - 11:09 AM)

That sounds like something handled at the DNS level. And depending on the server, you might be able to work around it with a htaccess rewrite.

@  Phillyman : (26 August 2016 - 10:15 AM)

I am pissed off :rtfm:.....These goobers that made this forum software REMOVED a feature in the new version that I use. Basically no more community.retromags.com for the forums and www.retromags.com for the databases. Nope now everything has to fall under www.retromags.com, so the forums will now be www.retromags.com/forums

@  Phillyman : (24 August 2016 - 10:09 PM)

Fixed, if i had to guess, someone set an image as the featured cover, then that image got deleted. So I just picked a random image, set it as the feature, then removed it again :)

@  kitsunebi77 : (24 August 2016 - 09:13 PM)

Philly, any idea why the "United Kingdom Magazines" gallery folder isn't displaying a cover pic?

@  Phillyman : (24 August 2016 - 05:19 PM)

However we will need to use ISO names in the URL's for certain databases. No categories can repeat across any databases. So if united-states is being used in the Magazine DB, then usa needs to be used in the Publication DB

@  Phillyman : (24 August 2016 - 05:18 PM)

Not sure why I thought it would work, I changed it this morning.

@  RetroDefense : (24 August 2016 - 05:09 PM)

Thank you, mystery Cover Gallery Title Editor person. Those country ISO codes were garish. :)

@  RetroDefense : (24 August 2016 - 04:16 PM)

I've always appreciated CMS' that allow micro-management of permissions. Always seem to be necessary sometime.

@  Phillyman : (24 August 2016 - 03:19 PM)

I tried copying over the display template from this site to that one, and it doesn't work. Its going to require tweaking!

@  Phillyman : (24 August 2016 - 01:10 PM)

So that means I set it so that a members can only add missing dates to magazine records, but Team Members can edit existing dates

@  Phillyman : (24 August 2016 - 01:09 PM)

Oh sweet baby jebus! Is that field permissions.....I think it is....I can finally set permissions of editable fields....and it looks like I can allow member groups to only be able to add info to blank fields or the ability to edit existing data

@  Phillyman : (24 August 2016 - 01:01 PM)

Oh and some people may like this, it looks like I can disable fields by category. So if we want to not show Issue numbers in certain area's......we dont have to

@  Phillyman : (24 August 2016 - 01:01 PM)

If I am not mistaken, the new version lets you create a custom field ONCE and then use it across MULTIPLE databases. Which is a huge time saver. Why do I need to create a Magazine Title and a Strategy Guide Title and a Video Game Title????

@  Phillyman : (24 August 2016 - 12:59 PM)

oh boy, I am finally sitting down with the new version of this software, and it does some pretty cool things

@  MathUser2929 : (24 August 2016 - 12:50 PM)

Electronic Gaming Monthly 1996

@  Depressor : (24 August 2016 - 11:55 AM)

I've taken away a pack of magazines today... I's necessary to look for time for scanning)
