Looking at an old Japanese preview for Tomb Raider II...apparently for the first two games Lara was known as "Leila Croft." I guess they thought it sounded better?

@  RetroDefense : (24 June 2016 - 11:57 AM)

http://www.MarioMarathon.com is going on now, benefiting Child's Play Charity! (Shameless plug but it is for a good cause.) :)

@  kitsunebi77 : (24 June 2016 - 05:05 AM)

What is the gallery's power level?
It's over 9000!!
9000?! There's no way that can be right!

@  Areala : (23 June 2016 - 03:56 PM)

@RetroDefense Yes, please do! I have a few I was going to put up there myself before stuff went nuts with the house, so let your sprog run wild. :)

@  romanemul : (23 June 2016 - 11:45 AM)

@  kitsunebi77 : (22 June 2016 - 04:20 PM)

It seems like that should get its own folder, but I suppose the "computer books" gallery is already a pretty random hodgepodge, so maybe not?

@  RetroDefense : (22 June 2016 - 11:33 AM)

Hey @Areala, can we upload videogame based fiction cover scans to Computer Books? My son has a stack ready to go. :)

@  marktrade : (22 June 2016 - 04:38 AM)

@kitsunebi77 Yo yo I got it hit me up on myspace.

@  kitsunebi77 : (22 June 2016 - 03:47 AM)

It's super hush-hush on the down-low. Only the coolest cats are hip to the game mag scene.

@  marktrade : (22 June 2016 - 12:50 AM)

Game mag scene releases? Is that a thing?

@  kitsunebi77 : (21 June 2016 - 03:44 PM)

The only mags we host here are those scanned by Retromags members. So unless you scanned them yourself, you can't upload them here.

@  romanemul : (21 June 2016 - 03:33 PM)

where can i post other magazine releases ? There has been several SNES Force mag releases in the scene during past few days.

@  marktrade : (20 June 2016 - 01:09 AM)

Happy Father's Day, Phillyman! And to all the other Retromags dads.

@  Phillyman : (18 June 2016 - 05:45 PM)

@  Phillyman : (18 June 2016 - 05:45 PM)

catching up on PM's and posts that require my attention. :)

@  marktrade : (18 June 2016 - 02:24 AM)

@kitsunebi77 Impressive work! Have you considered marathon running?

@  kitsunebi77 : (18 June 2016 - 02:07 AM)

Took me just under 4 months to upload 1000 covers. I'll see if I can hit 2000 by the end of the year. :P

@  bozzy : (17 June 2016 - 04:59 PM)

You're a shoot box

@  racethemoon : (15 June 2016 - 09:53 PM)

@  ♦Jake♦ : (14 June 2016 - 12:57 PM)

Bill Clinton was heard saying my server went down too but enough about Monica.

@  marktrade : (13 June 2016 - 03:33 AM)

 Oh my god, I'm dying here!

@  kitsunebi77 : (13 June 2016 - 03:22 AM)

...as the news cameras cut to Bill looking at Hillary, smiling tightly and weeping tears of pride.

@  marktrade : (13 June 2016 - 12:58 AM)

I'm trying to imagine what everyone's reaction would be if Hillary Clinton ended one of her speeches saying, "Oh and one more thing, we're going to bring nudes back to Playboy. We're going to make Playboy great again."

@  Areala : (12 June 2016 - 12:48 PM)

@  kitsunebi77 : (12 June 2016 - 07:28 AM)

Hell, I'd already downloaded the Deadpool blu-ray before it was released in theaters here...

@  kitsunebi77 : (12 June 2016 - 07:27 AM)

It doesn't open in Japan for another 2 months

@  marktrade : (12 June 2016 - 05:49 AM)

X-Men Apocalypse is so freaking good.

@  Areala : (11 June 2016 - 09:52 PM)

@kitsunebi77: Done! :)

@  kitsunebi77 : (11 June 2016 - 09:28 PM)

Could someone please change the title from "Micro Adventure" to "Micro Adventurer" in the gallery? Thanks!

@  Areala : (11 June 2016 - 08:51 PM)

@kitsunebi77: Hooray! Link me up and I'll be sure to inspect it thoroughly and carefully for any defects. :)

@  RetroDefense : (11 June 2016 - 08:36 PM)

@Areala, I say we crash E-Day's place and leave both our presidential candidates and nude-free Playboys behind. I hear he has Crystal Pepsi in the fridge! ;)

@  RetroDefense : (11 June 2016 - 08:23 PM)

I'm convinced moving boxes of physical magazines - especially to a new home - is THE defining reason to go digital. Digital everything - magazines, comics, movies, books, furniture...

@  Phillyman : (11 June 2016 - 08:04 PM)

you know how much of a pain in the ass it is to move hundreds of video game magazines out of my living room and dinning room to clean the carpets and then move them all back. My back....oh my back!

@  kitsunebi77 : (11 June 2016 - 07:42 PM)

@Areala: While we're waiting for your centerfold, the 1997/9 issue of Tech Gian is finished and ready to go. ;)

@  Areala : (11 June 2016 - 04:24 PM)

Eh, why not? I've been working out, hitting the gym. I've got abs again. Who wants some, huh? Come get some! *flex* *growl*

@  KiwiArcader : (11 June 2016 - 04:22 PM)

Areala, our warrior nun?princess should offer to be the first nude centrefold back in Playboy ;)

@  Areala : (11 June 2016 - 04:20 PM)

Things presidential candidates could do in an effort to earn Areala's vote: Pledge to return nudity to Playboy magazine. :)

@  marktrade : (10 June 2016 - 10:19 PM)

Well it's just the US version of Playboy, right? There are many different international versions and they all still have nudes, I think. It's a peculiarity of recent changes in American culture. We were always more prudish to start with anyway.

@  RetroDefense : (10 June 2016 - 10:15 PM)

I think they're banking on readers like you, E-Day. The nudity was pulled to increase newsstand distribution - something they've deemed necessary as a result of the symptom kitsunebi77 described. I'm sure they'll learn soon enough if their non-nude content is enough to support the 'zine.

@  kitsunebi77 : (10 June 2016 - 09:20 PM)

I think it's interesting that their decision to move away from nudity no doubt stems from the fact that the internet is a far more immediate source for anyone interested in that sort of thing. Particularly since the internet is what is most often cited as the cause of the death of game mags as well.

@  E-Day : (10 June 2016 - 08:55 PM)

It's the interviews that are the best part of that magazine. I have purchased it from the newsstand before solely because of who the interviewee was.

@  kitsunebi77 : (10 June 2016 - 07:48 PM)

At least now people have to take you seriously if you say you read it for the articles.

@  Depressor : (10 June 2016 - 12:40 PM)

Thx.

@  Areala : (10 June 2016 - 10:44 AM)

@kitsunebi77 I don't want to live in this world any longer.

@  marktrade : (10 June 2016 - 04:21 AM)

@kitsunebi77 worried

@  kitsunebi77 : (10 June 2016 - 03:42 AM)

Now imagine teenage you's reaction to the news that Playboy doesn't even have naked women in it anymore.

@  marktrade : (09 June 2016 - 08:04 PM)

If teenage-me found out how much time adult-me would be spending on eBay searching the words "play" and "magazine" while overlooking all the issues of Playboy in the results, he would be very confused and probably very disappointed.

@  Areala : (09 June 2016 - 10:49 AM)

@Depressor : Joystik Special Issue 01 has been added to the database! Sorry for the delay. :)

@  Areala : (09 June 2016 - 09:23 AM)
