In the database, has there ever been a consideration for a field showing the UPC bar code numbers ?

@  ♦perfinpuz♦ : (28 October 2016 - 04:16 PM)

In the database for CD-ROM Today, several of the issues including #2 and #6 show the language as Chinese. I checked and that is a field that does not show up in edit.

@  marktrade : (28 October 2016 - 02:12 PM)

@kitsunebi77 I propose Retromags switches to a monthly CD-ROM format. :)

@  kitsunebi77 : (28 October 2016 - 10:38 AM)

All right, I've held my tongue for ages, but my current state of inebriation forces me to state the obvious: This site's mobile version is SHIT. Complete and utter shit. Accessing the mobile site from a smartphone is a waste of time. This isn't the fault of anyone at RetroMags; it's strictly the fault of the godawful software it operates by.

@  kitsunebi77 : (28 October 2016 - 10:13 AM)

As I suspected, there are all kinds. I couldn't give a shit what K-Mart advertised in 1997, but there are others that find it fascinating, so upload it as you see fit.

@  RetroDefense : (28 October 2016 - 09:35 AM)

I like having loose supplements available separately, actually. It better represents how the mag was originally presented, provides an option for those of us with the core mag but not the supp, and helps spotlight the supp too - its content, what issue it was bundled with, etc.

@  RetroDefense : (28 October 2016 - 09:33 AM)

Old advertising is part of the fun! :)

@  kitsunebi77 : (28 October 2016 - 03:53 AM)

As it sounds like it has absolutely no editorial input from EGM, I vote no. It's strictly advertising. Hardly seems like something anyone would want on its own. But I guess I could be wrong?

@  Sean697 : (28 October 2016 - 02:28 AM)

So I have a 16 page Mpngovery Ward Electric avenue insert in EGM 30. Advertising their holiday sales. Is there any interest in having this as a standalone download in the EGM inserts section? It will be included in EGM 30.

@  Sean697 : (27 October 2016 - 03:05 PM)

After a nearly 2 week break I'm going back to working on my mags again this morning.

@  Sean697 : (27 October 2016 - 03:05 PM)

we don't take submissions taken from other sites.

@  Sean697 : (27 October 2016 - 03:04 PM)

Did you scan it and edit yourself?

@  ffpoke : (27 October 2016 - 02:20 PM)

what do i do if i have an electronic gaming monthly i want to upload like issue 63

@  Phillyman : (27 October 2016 - 12:30 PM)

FYI - The QNAP is now backing up our Download Manager nightly. Thank god for a sync function, as after the initial 200+ GB, it only downloads any changes.

@  Sean697 : (27 October 2016 - 02:08 AM)

Man Batman VR is so good.

@  ffpoke : (27 October 2016 - 01:37 AM)

Its from reggie

@  ffpoke : (27 October 2016 - 01:37 AM)

i have some better scans of Nintendo power covers just the first few and official discontinue letter from Nintendo

@  marktrade : (26 October 2016 - 09:30 PM)

@Areala Yes, a big part! I live in the desert so it can get really boring going out to exercise, but PokéGo made it a lot more fun.

@  Areala : (26 October 2016 - 09:02 PM)

Has Pokemon Go been a part of your exercise plan this year, Mark? I'm genuinely curious, as you're not the first person I've heard talking about losing weight from playing it. :)

@  marktrade : (26 October 2016 - 08:12 PM)

@Phillyman From now until Halloween you get four times the candy from walking your Pokémon buddy. No better time to start walking!

@  Phillyman : (26 October 2016 - 05:43 PM)

I need to drop 85lbs so I can get back down to 200lbs. Which should put me back into a 36 pants and Large shirt, right now I am a 44 relaxed and 3XL....no good....and my back is suffering

@  Areala : (26 October 2016 - 08:47 AM)

I worked my butt off at the gym (no pun intended) over the last year to be confident enough to wear a bikini on the beach this summer. I'd have to lose another 10-12 pounds to be back at what I weighed my senior year. That's possible, but at 40, I'm not sure it's worth the extra effort. :)

@  kitsunebi77 : (26 October 2016 - 04:04 AM)

I've been lucky enough to never have any issues with my weight. But I sure wish there was a way I could get back all the hair I had in high school.

@  marktrade : (25 October 2016 - 08:34 PM)

I have 80 more to go until I get to where I was in high school. Someone told me that's unnatural but I don't mind. :arc:

@  Areala : (25 October 2016 - 04:17 PM)

Damn, 80 pounds? That's impressive as hell, Mark! Awesome work. :)

@  kitsunebi77 : (25 October 2016 - 05:17 AM)

Just passed 4,000 gallery pics uploaded in the past 8 months. Not as cool as losing 80 pounds, but the only way I could do that without dying would be to become a multiple amputee. So I think I'll stick to uploading covers. :)

@  Sean697 : (25 October 2016 - 01:30 AM)

More like Markloss

@  Sean697 : (25 October 2016 - 01:29 AM)

That's like a whole little person.

@  marktrade : (24 October 2016 - 11:00 PM)

80 lbs. lost since Pokémon Go came out. I'm very tired.

@  kitsunebi77 : (22 October 2016 - 01:37 AM)

@  kitsunebi77 : (22 October 2016 - 12:02 AM)

@  Sean697 : (21 October 2016 - 04:00 AM)

Ok it's very immersive and the tracking is great. It's better than I thought it would be. Very comfortable and easy to use headset.

@  Sean697 : (21 October 2016 - 03:59 AM)

PSVR is pretty awesome. That is all.

@  Dormient : (17 October 2016 - 02:12 AM)

Thank you for the great work so far!

@  ♦Raijin Z♦ : (15 October 2016 - 12:31 PM)

Phone support is essentially the doorman, and working such a job is a slow death. Check the suicide and heart failure rates for call center workers. Nobody does it for long, and with all of the low-entry-barrier jobs moved to Mexico and the Philippines, there's little else for people to do coming out of high school.

@  Areala : (15 October 2016 - 09:15 AM)

I cannot possibly fathom who could replace them.

@  ♦Jake♦ : (15 October 2016 - 02:30 AM)

Is Comcast still the worst customer service in United States?

@  Phillyman : (14 October 2016 - 10:05 PM)

oh snap did Xmas come early? My ISP just went from a 350GB data cap to 1024GB! Last month I was 216GB over

@  kitsunebi77 : (14 October 2016 - 04:28 AM)

Shout out to ccovell for sending me a whole bunch of cover pics to various 80's and early 90's Japanese mags in his rather impressive collection. I've still got oodles of my own to upload, so it'll take a while to get everything in place, but I'll do my best to get them uploaded in the coming weeks.

@  kitsunebi77 : (13 October 2016 - 03:05 AM)

I bought mine strictly for that purpose. It's never been used to scan anything BUT magazines.

@  puddinpops : (13 October 2016 - 12:18 AM)

wish i had a better scanner so I could contribute :/

@  puddinpops : (13 October 2016 - 12:18 AM)

Got some Famitsu issues yesterday

@  owen303 : (10 October 2016 - 12:43 PM)

Just wanna say thank you for Access to my childhood magazine nintendo power!!! ;-)

@  Phillyman : (09 October 2016 - 06:38 PM)

All Fixed :)

@  kitsunebi77 : (09 October 2016 - 05:44 PM)

I've been banned  Carry on without me!

@  kitsunebi77 : (08 October 2016 - 10:26 PM)

Nevermind. Permissions are so WEIRD. I wasn't allowed to move the file (which I had uploaded into the wrong folder), but I WAS allowed to delete it entirely, which is something I usually DON'T have permission for. So strange.

@  kitsunebi77 : (08 October 2016 - 10:02 PM)

Philly, can you give me mod control for the TurboGrafx CD folder in the advertisements gallery? I need to move an image.

@  kitsunebi77 : (08 October 2016 - 07:42 PM)

You can download the uncompressed one from here:

@  kitsunebi77 : (08 October 2016 - 07:40 PM)

Huh. I uploaded a 2200px high copy. didn't realize the file service had compressed it. I'll upload somewhere else.

@  E-Day : (08 October 2016 - 07:24 PM)

@kitsunebi77: Do you have a large version than that 610x800 version? It's about a third the size that I need for the standard-sized release, and a quarter the size for the full-sized copy of the scan I keep
